2020 Donations:
Although 2020 was severely impacted by the pandemic with memberships down 50%, as was my consulting business was down 65%, I still managed to give back over $2,000 to other safety professionals' fundraising efforts.
If I count the FREE memberships I gave in return to those in my Facebook Group that donated to other member's causes, we exceeded $4,000 in fundraising.

Dear Bryan Haywood,
As we look back on 2017 – 2018, we would like to recognize your outstanding contribution as Chapter Vice President of the Southwestern Ohio Chapter. The talent and dedication that you have shown is greatly appreciated. Serving Society and working to provide a positive membership experience is critically important for the ongoing success of ASSP. ASSE SW Chapter's contribution of $1,000 will allow the Chapter to provide FREE lunches for their monthly meetings in the hopes of growing attendance. |
I just completed my 2018 1st Quarter SAFTENG donations by giving $500 to my Alma Mater (Murray State University) from our 2017 memberships funds. We had a nice quarter of new memberships and that allowed us to give back almost $1,000 since January 2018. THANKS to everyone for all their support! Together we are making a difference!!!

This was a “donation” to WISE (Women

their 5K shirts to support their efforts.

2017 Giving:
This year was a good year @ SAFTENG. As most of you know we offered FREE memberships to everyone from April 2016 to April 2017 in which we saw over 7,000 new memberships. These memberships are 100% FREE for LIFE, no need to send $ each year; however, as this safety community has always done, many of you have continued to support me financially with Corporate Memberships. And as I have always promised, profits from the website will be returned to the safety community. I have a long history in the emergency response field and my heart yearns to fight fires and wear LEVEL A's but those days are gone - so the best I can do is support my local responders. I also like to support SAFTENG members who are doing great things in their communities. I will try and update this page with all of the actual donations, but here are the most recent ones:

2015 Giving:
This year we saw memberships come back and Corporate Sponsorships grow by 25%. I also suffered no lawsuits from copyrighted images being submitted. I wish I could list all the corporate sponsors but unfortunately, the confidentiality agreements prohibit me from doing so. This year I have donated over $1,000 dollars from SAFTENG.net revenues to my local FD and my Alma mater - Murray State University. I have also sponsored runners (SAFTENG members) in their races and fundraising efforts for all sorts of causes.

2014 Donations |
3/1/2014 1:56:09 PM BryanHaywood XXXXXXXXXX Milford, OH 45150
Dear Bryan,
Thank you for your donation of $100.00 to the American Heart Association! The child you have supported is participating in a meaningful, service learning opportunity. Students who participate in this event are helping children affected by heart conditions, and learning about their own hearts and how to stay healthy by getting physically active!
We use dollars raised to help children, schools and communities through initiatives such as:
Fighting childhood obesity. Numerous national and community-based programs are educating children and families about the risks of obesity — and empowering them to take action against it. Cutting-edge research. Ongoing discovery of new treatments, technologies and preventions are vital to saving and changing lives. Since 2003 the American Heart Association has committed more than $76.2 million for research projects related to children. Keeping PE in schools. Volunteers and staff urge lawmakers at the federal and state levels to support quality physical education for all public school children through grade 12. Better nutrition in schools. We support national- and state-level legislation so schools will offer healthier food choices to students and staff. Getting more fresh fruits and vegetables in schools will help reduce obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and other risk factors for heart disease and stroke. Teaching CPR in schools. CPR can be the difference between life and death for a loved one. We offer a number of courses and awareness programs to train middle school and high school students in CPR.
Thanks again for your generous support of our lifesaving work. For future reference, your confirmation number is 161513959. Please keep this letter as a receipt for your records. No goods or services were provided in consideration of this gift.
Sincere Thanks,
Nancy A. Brown Chief Executive Officer

Each year I try and support several worthy causes through member's fundraising efforts. These are usually safety related, but also for our men and women serving in our armed services. This year Heather is running in the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend 10K race event in January 2014 to raise money to provide specially adapted homes for our severely injured veterans. PLEASE join me in supporting Heather. Anyone who supports Heater with a $25 donation will receive a 1-year membership to SAFTENG.net in return for your support! PLEASE consider supporting Heather and the team in their goal to raise $25,000 for this worthy cause. After all we are really supporting those men and women who have given this country so much! Dear Bryan,

Category: Consulting
We put MAKING A DIFFERENCE BEFORE making a profit!
In April 2004, I decided that I would make a run at starting my own safety consulting business where I could continue working for those individuals whose safety expectations met or exceeded my own. My goal was to create a consulting business that focuses solely on improving the safety and health of workers and emergency responders. SAFTENG.net LLC (SAFTENG or Safety Engineering Network) comprises solely of senior safety professionals who are recognized leaders in the safety and emergency response fields. Take a minute or two and review the SAFTENG Team Bio's, as I am sure you will be impressed with our team's experience and capabilities. The team has over 150 years of hands-on experience in safety and health and emergency response at all levels within private and government organizations.
SAFTENG focuses on those areas in which the team has EXTENSIVE hands-on experience. We do not claim to be experts in the entire field of safety and health or emergency response, but our clients do consider our abilities in the areas we practice to be of a world-class caliber. Our strengths are HONESTY, INTEGRITY, ETHICS, and NO NON-SENSE COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS to meet your needs. We are not that company that will produce world-class written reports to sit on your shelves; rather our strength is in our fieldwork, working with your team members to get you the desired results. We pride ourselves in being the most thorough safety team you will ever work with and I can assure you, our level of detail will be nothing like you have experienced before.
Our areas of specialty are:
- Training (Safety/Health and Emergency Response)
- OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program
- Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
- Auditing (Compliance/Assessments/Systems)
- Life Safety & Fire Safety
- Utilizing Six Sigma Methodology in
Safety & Health Metrics (Leading Indicators)
- Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessments (PHA, JSA, etc.)
The industries we work mostly in:
- Pharmaceutical & Medical Nutrition
- Warehousing & Distribution Centers
- Heavy Manufacturing (foundries, Press Shops, etc.)
- Emergency Response Organizations

We are always willing to offer and encourage you to speak with our clients and former employers to be sure you know exactly what you are getting when you hire SAFTENG as your safety resource. How many consulting firms do you know that encourage you to contact former employers and clients of the actual consultant that will be managing your project to verify capabilities and performance within the scope of your project. We certainly have nothing to hide and everything to gain by you speaking with our clients and former employers, as they are our best advertisement and happiest customers.
Click Here to see what clients and former employers say about the SAFTENG Team's safety knowledge, abilities, ethics, and passion for protecting workers.
So, if you are in need of some outside safety resources, give us a call (513-238-8747) and let's discuss your needs. If it is something SAFTENG can handle, we can have you a proposal within the week. If it is outside of our abilities and requires us to tread into areas that we are not absolutely comfortable in or equipped, we have several close relationships with some other great safety professionals that we can put you in touch with. As an ethical practice, we put you in direct contact with these partner companies and individuals so that you have the ultimate say as to who does the work for you - no mark-up's on hourly rates and no mark-up's on travel costs like so many of the bigger firms do when they hire a subcontractor. We want you to get the service you requested, at the best possible price, with the highest quality possible!
