WOW! I have not seen one of these in years, but they still amaze me. Let me CAUTION everyone here, a vent and burn operation is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and must only be done by HIGHLY TRAINED and EXPERIENCED professionals. This was a tanker truck carrying 8,700 gallons of isobutane and the trailer received damage during a transportation accident that made it too dangerous to move. Apparently doing a transfer to another trailer was deemed more risky and to end the situation in a safe and efficient manner, a vent and burn plan was executed; but only after the following groups signed off on the action plan: LA State Police, Baton Rouge Police, Baton Rouge Fire Department, and the state Department of Environmental Quality.
