This week we saw the second serious fire in a vehicle dealership service area in as many months (Click Here for the Jasper, AL fatal (triple fatality) fire on June 12th).

This one occurred when a cleaning worker, using a walk-behind floor scrubber knocked over a 30-gallon drum of gasoline that was part of a "gasoline recovery system".  And it was all caught on security camera.  We can see the drum get knocked over, worker up-rights its and walks away continuing his cleaning.  We can see the spill progress toward the drain trench and spread.  The worker remains in the area cleaning the floor.  After about 5 minutes the worker then travels over the spilled gasoline and we can see ignition and how the vapor ignites.  We see workers attempting to use dry-chemical fire extinguishers on the fire, but once the flash occurred it appears the worker lost control of the sweeper and it again knocked over the drum of gasoline as we can clearly see a pool fire running towards the trench-drain.  This incident completely destroyed the service department building.  See the other video below for the damages.
