DSCF0250

Lightning hit an outbuilding or one of the poles around it during a storm. The hit blew the AT&T phone out of the receiver and caused the burn marks you can see on the ear piece (pics 246, 247, and 250). This is why you don’t talk on a corded phone during a thunder / lightning storm.

The hit also blew the wall transformer for the cordless phone (248) into a bunch of pieces and launched the cordless phone out of its base.
