We are all about making sure their workers and business have the most safe work place possible. The vast majority appreciate this and it's why SAFTENG has thrived all these years. Each year I try and support several worthy causes through member's fund raising efforts. These are usually safety related, but also for our men and women serving in our armed services. This year Heather is running in the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend 10K race event in January 2014 to raise money to provide specially adapted homes for our severely injured veterans. Behavior is what people do and say—a means to an end. Behavior is an observable act that can be seen and heard, and it can be measured. Consistent behavior is necessary for consistent results. For example, a youth baseball coach cannot just shout at a 10-year-old pitcher from the dugout to “throw strikes.” The child may not know how and will become frustrated. To be effective, the coach must teach specific techniques - behaviors - that will help the child throw strikes more consistently. This is followed up with effective coaching and positive reinforcement. Sometimes people will make errors despite their best efforts. Therefore, behavior and its causes are extremely valuable as the signal for improvement efforts to anticipate, prevent, catch, or recover from errors. For long-term, sustained good results, a close observation must be conducted of what influences behavior, motivates it, provokes it, shapes it, inhibits it, and directs it!

There has been a lot of confusion over how the SAFTENG.net materials may be used. Without all the legal jargon this is it... as a member of the SAFTENG.net network you are encouraged to use these materials at your facility to raise the awareness and better train your workers in safety and health. You have the rights to paste the materials in training presentations, on bulletin boards, in newsletters, etc. I started this site to help make other safety pro's jobs easier and with the hopes that some of the materials just may wake up some workers somewhere in this world. I only charge $25/year because the membership rights apply ONLY to those who are CURRENT MEMBERS. As long as you continue to support the site either by financial payment or by safety material contributions, you have the rights to use the materials from the site. As soon as your membership expires and you choose to not support my efforts any longer, your rights to use the SAFTENG.net materials cease. This means you MUST remove the SAFTENG.net materials from your presentations, your computer hard drive, your company network, etc. Subject to the provisions contained herein and to the payment of all applicable fees, SAFTENG.net LLC grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to the materials contained herewith (the "Product"). Your licensed rights to the Product are limited to the following: This Agreement may be terminated immediately by Owner or SAFTENG.net LLC upon breach of any provision of this Agreement by you. Upon any termination of this Agreement, you shall immediately discontinue the use of the Product and shall within ten (10) days certify in writing to SAFTENG.net LLC that the Product has been deleted from your computer and is eliminated from your premises. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio without reference to its conflict of laws provisions and you further consent to jurisdiction by the state and federal courts sitting in the State of Ohio. This Agreement constitutes the complete and exclusive agreement between SAFTENG.net LLC and you with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supercedes all prior oral or written understandings, communications or agreements not specifically incorporated herein. This Agreement may not be modified except in writing duly signed by an authorized representative of SAFTENG.net LLC and you. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and such decision shall not affect the enforceability (i) of such provision under other circumstances, or (ii) of the remaining provisions hereof under all circumstances. Headings shall not be considered in interpreting the Agreement. You may not load or export or re-export any of the Product or any underlying information or technology except in full compliance with all United States and other applicable laws and regulations.
